Odd folder in the FTP

This folder would be before public_html

There's an odd folder that I don't know what to make of it.

FTP shows is as:

W¹å¯v"øÞÖâ€Â¡NnIE.…)žÂ†é¬àê³Ãè·èr‚¨‹Ã(zM|´§ÃŠ2¯Ù^LÆ’Ã…}â€#åÀ$³zÅ iQÊ·Añ$ã´ž§Âhã¥!È»sßåÂËÃI`

If you double click this in FTP client it will enter the folder and show a file of 0 byte. The file name only has 2 squares.


SSH shows it as:

W\037\271\345\257v"\370\336\031\004\326\224\241NnIE.\205)\236\235\206\351\254\340\352\263\317\350\267\350r\202\250\213\315(zM\|\264\247\303\2122\257\331^L\203\027\305}\224#\345\300$\263z\212iQ\312\267A\017\361$\343\264\001\030\236\247\217\025\f\006h\343\245!\310\273\002s\337\345\220\313\317I`\031/

If I try to cd into the folder this way it spits this back to me:
-jailshell: !\310\273\002s\337\345\220\313\317I`\031/: event not found


Any ideas?

I'd say it's either filesystem corruption or bad code creating bogus directories.

Did you try to delete it?

I was able to rename the folder and delete it.
