1. First, to login into DirectAdmin control panel visit, 

https://your-domain.com:2222 or https://IP-address:2222 or https://server-hostname:2222.

2. Navigate to System Info & Files → File Manager.

3. Right-click on the Directory → Click on Set Permissions.

4. Select the required permissions or you can enter it in numerical format.

5. If you want to apply new permissions to all the files, directories under the selected directory → Check the option Recursive.

6. Finally, click on SAVE.

7. Congratulations! You have successfully changed permission for the directory. Using the same method, you can change the permission of files as well.
